2-way entry pallets force forklifts to approach from the front or back. In a narrow aisle (under 2.8 m) this means the truck must turn 90 degrees before lifting. 4-way entry pallets let the truck approach from the side, reducing the required aisle width to 2.4 m or less when using reach trucks.
Racking Compatibility
Most selective pallet racking works with either design. However, drive-in racking that loads from one end only is often faster with 2-way pallets because the closed sides prevent snagging on rail guides.
